Position Summary

Michaelis Corporation is seeking a Roofing & Exterior Project Manager to supervise and manage roofing and exterior projects throughout the Indianapolis area. The ideal candidate is organized, self sufficient, and comfortable leading crews, communicating with clients, and ensuring each project is completed safely, on-time, and to the Michaelis Standard. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Pick up job folders and materials, and communicate ETA with crews and homeowners  
  • Schedule jobs and coordinate start dates with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients  
  • Order and stage materials for roofing, siding, and exterior projects  
  • Supervise daily jobsite activities, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and adherence to Michaelis quality standards  
  • Set up and maintain property protection upon arrival  
  • Verify scope of work and material requirements with clients and crews  
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during all phases of the project  
  • Support crews during tear-off, installation, and final clean-up as needed  
  • Install or assist with minor scope items (e.g., counter flashing or small repairs — training provided)  
  • Schedule and manage interior repair work related to tree damage, water intrusion, or other restoration events  
  • Perform final walk-throughs with clients and ensure satisfaction  
  • Collect payment or coordinate follow-ups for invoicing  
  • Manage open items, jobsite adjustments, and warranty follow-ups  
  • Maintain communication with the Production Manager and Estimators regarding job progress, changes, or client concerns  
  • Read and interpret Xactimate scopes (experience preferred but not required; training provided)  
  • Maintain and care for company truck, trailer, and tools  

Compensation & Benefits  

  • Base Salary: $65,000–$80,000 based on experience  
  • Supplemental Commission Earnings

Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent  
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record  
  • Ability to pass a background check  
  • Strong communication and organizational skills  
  • Comfortable working at heights and outdoors  
  • Detail-oriented with a drive for quality and safety  
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and punctual  
  • Willingness to learn construction skills (roofing, siding, gutters, etc.)  
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus  
Salary Description
65k-$85k
