Position Summary

Aggregate Mineral Resource Group, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Crushing Plant Operator to oversee daily operations, maintenance, and production for our crushing and washing plant facilities. This is a hands-on role that requires a skilled operator with a strong understanding of crushing and washing plant systems, as well as expertise in repair, welding, electrical systems, material specifications, and production setup. The Crushing Plant Operator will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations while meeting production goals and maintaining equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams in a production environment, along with technical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize plant operations. A strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential.


Responsibilities

Plant Operations and Maintenance:

  • Oversee and manage daily operations of crushing and washing plant facilities, ensuring production schedules and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Set up, operate, and optimize plant systems to meet material specifications and maximize production efficiency.
  • Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance of crushing, washing, and associated equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of crushing, washing, and material handling systems.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforce all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Conduct safety meetings and training sessions, ensuring team adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in plant operations and maintenance activities.

Technical Expertise:

  • Utilize advanced knowledge of crushing and washing plant operations, including mechanical systems, welding, electrical components, and material specifications.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks to repair plant equipment and support operational needs.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures, including motors, conveyors, and control systems.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.
  • Prepare detailed reports on plant operations, production metrics, and equipment performance for review by management.
  • Collaborate with the Mine Operations Manager to implement operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills

· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in crushing and washing plant operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

· Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of crushing and washing plant systems, including setup, operation, and maintenance.

· Leadership Abilities: Proven experience as a skilled operator, with the ability to train, supervise, and motivate a team in a production environment.

· Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve operational and technical issues efficiently.

· Safety Commitment: Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and best practices for plant operations.

· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, supervisors, and vendors.

· Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in welding, electrical systems, or related fields preferred.

· Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 75 pounds), work in confined spaces, and operate in outdoor environments exposed to weather, dust, and noise.


Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

· Physical Activity: Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy samples. Frequently involved in repetitive tasks, including sieving, weighing, and sample preparation.

· Work Environment: Exposure to a range of conditions, including dust, noise, vibration, and varying temperatures, in both indoor and outdoor settings. May work in confined spaces or at elevated heights during sample collection or equipment maintenance.

· Safety Gear: Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety goggles, helmets, and steel-toed boots.


Schedule

Shift Schedule: This is a full-time position, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Additional availability may be required for emergency repairs or operational needs.


Compensation

The Crushing Plant Operator position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $20.00 to $25.00, based on experience and qualifications. On-site housing is available for those who prefer to reside near the worksite.
