Description of Position
Seeking a dynamic and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner to oversee and direct the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program. The FNP director will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and evaluating the program, ensuring academic excellence, compliance with accreditation standards, and student success. This individual will collaborate with faculty, staff, and stakeholders to maintain a high-quality curriculum and foster a supportive learning environment.
College of Nursing Responsibilities
· Provide leadership and direction for the FNP program, including working with the graduate team on curriculum development, program evaluation, and student support
· Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
· Teach courses within the FNP program.
· Develop and maintain partnerships with clinical sites and preceptors to support student clinical experiences.
· Monitor student progress and provide academic guidance and support.
· Lead efforts in student recruitment, admissions, and retention for the program.
· Stay informed about current trends and advancements in nursing and healthcare education.
· Represent the program at internal and external meetings, events, and conferences.
? Participate in other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
? Master’s degree in Nursing
? Idaho RN licensure and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
? The University requires that all candidates have a Christian perspective (preferably in the Wesleyan tradition), and must be comfortable with and in agreement with the mission and lifestyle values of NNU
? Computer competency and aptitude for learning new software
? Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in the English language
Preferred Qualifications
? DNP or PhD in nursing or related field
? Experience working in a rural or community setting
