Position Summary:

We are actively seeking a motivated, creative, and strategic candidate to fill the role of Social Media Specialist to drive best-in-class organic social for FitLab’s portfolio of inspirational global brands. The candidate that will be successful in this role will have in-depth knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and other top social media platforms, and has an expert grasp on sport and fitness culture. The role will work closely with FitLab’s cross-functional teams to authentically maximize consumer acquisition and retention through our branded social channels. 


The Social Media Specialist will be empowered to creatively shape the way our global brands leverage social media to connect with new and existing members, all while contributing to the rapid growth of a dynamic startup. Most importantly, FitLab’s Social Media Specialist will be tasked with upholding FitLab’s mission of inspiring people to move. Responsibilities:

Programming-

  • Create holistic social media strategy for key FitLab brands, including developing a strong POV on cadence, channel strategy, creative mix, and more. 
  • Develop and execute against social media content calendars for multiple FitLab brands, using the aforementioned social strategy and brand-specific KPIs as guiding lights
  • Manage social scheduling and posting across all platforms, using a combination of in-app posting and a third-party scheduling platform (Sprout Social)

Creative Ideation, Production, and Project Management-

  • Develop clear and compelling briefs for FitLab’s in-house creative team, with as much attention paid to the “why” as much as the “what.” 
  • Stay ahead of the latest trends across all major social platforms
  • Assist in content development wherever possible, from sourcing materials to providing precise and efficient feedback. 
  • Collaborate with creative teams to ensure on-brief and on-time delivery of assets

Customer Engagement-

  • Engage with comments and DMs across our portfolio of brands. Our social handles serve as critical customer support channels
  • Create special surprise-and-delight moments for members engaging with our brands via social

Reporting, Optimizing, Testing-

  • Responsible for regular reporting cadence across all key social channels
  • Report to broader team on learning and best practices to optimize strategy moving forward

Requirements

  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative ideas.
  • Experience in lightweight content creation, including stills and videos.
  • Understanding of target audience and the ability to tailor content to different branded cohorts.
  • Proficiency in social media analytics tools to track and measure the success of campaigns.
  • Data-driven mindset with a love for experimentation and analysis.
  • Experience in building and managing online communities.
  • Ability to engage with followers, respond to comments, and provide best-in-class customer support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exemplary professionalism while working with high profile partners and individuals
  • Exceptional project management skills. You’ll be managing content across multiple brands and channels, so the ability to organize and prioritize is essential. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
  • A passion for sports and fitness. We believe passion for the subject matter leads to better outcomes.
  • Available to work with a West Coast-based team.
  • All final candidates will undergo a background check after receiving the signed offer letter and release form.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with Sprout Social and/or other third-party social media platforms
  • Experience working with and developing content for professional athletes and celebrities
  • Experience developing social media content using tools like CapCut, Canva, etc.

$55,000 - $68,640 based on experience and location
