Description

 We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Manager of Tax to lead the global tax function for a growing private IoT group (~$500M revenue, 1000+ employees). Operating across 16+ jurisdictions, this role will oversee global compliance, tax strategy, transfer pricing, indirect tax, and tax technology. Initially working solo and reporting to the VP of Accounting, the Senior Manager will collaborate with local finance teams and external advisors, with a long-term mandate to build a centralized, high-performing tax department.


This is a unique opportunity to shape tax strategy at the group level, reduce tax costs, and ensure best-in-class compliance across a dynamic multinational environment.


  

Global Tax Compliance & Oversight

  • Ensure full tax compliance across all jurisdictions (direct and indirect taxes).
  • Coordinate with local finance teams and consultants for timely, accurate filings.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and manage risk exposure.

Tax Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement global tax strategies to optimize effective tax rate.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for tax savings and structuring efficiencies.
  • Support cross-border transactions, business expansion, and M&A.

Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Transactions

  • Design, document, and maintain transfer pricing policies.
  • Ensure compliance with OECD/local rules and coordinate with external TP advisors.

Indirect Tax Management

  • Oversee global VAT/GST and sales tax compliance.
  • Support supply chain and commercial teams with tax-optimized transaction flows.

Governance, Reporting & Tax Tech

  • Establish robust tax governance and reporting processes.
  • Lead selection and implementation of tax technology tools and automation.
  • Align tax with ERP systems and financial workflows.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary tax point of contact for internal teams and external advisors.
  • Manage audits and relationships with tax authorities.

Function Building & Leadership

  • Develop roadmap to build a centralized global tax team.
  • Standardize policies, reduce reliance on external advisors, and drive internal capabilities.
Requirements

Required:

8–10+ years of progressive global tax experience (corporate/international/indirect).

Strong expertise in international tax compliance, transfer pricing, and planning.

Proven ability to operate independently and drive strategic tax initiatives.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or similar; CPA, CA, or equivalent strongly preferred.


Preferred:

Experience in the tech/IoT space or a multinational corporate setting.

Background in both public accounting (Big 4) and in-house roles.

Exposure to tax technology solutions and ERP integration.

Experience with M&A and cross-border structuring.
