The Analytics Director is responsible for leading KJT’s analytics capabilities, driving advanced analytical techniques, and ensuring the integration of innovative methodologies across market research studies. This role will serve as a strategic consultant to clients, delivering actionable insights based on complex data analysis. The Analytics Director will collaborate closely with internal research teams and client strategy teams, external contractors, and clients to advance KJT’s analytical offerings and maintain a high standard of data integrity and innovation.

Role Responsibilities

Analytics Leadership

  • Develop the analytics team, overseeing advanced analytics methods in projects such as tracking studies, ATU (Awareness, Trial, and Usage), message testing, and more.
  • Manage and develop the analytics team.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients based on complex data analysis.
  • Collaborate with external contractors on advanced analyses, including sophisticated conjoint projects.
  • Train internal client strategy and research teams on key analytical concepts and methodologies.

Innovation & Trend Integration

  • Develop and implement strategies for integrating primary and secondary data sources.
  • Explore and apply technology tools to enhance existing research methodologies and insights.
  • Address quantitative data quality challenges and implement best practices for ensuring data integrity.
  • Assess emerging AI and technology trends to identify opportunities for implementation in research.
  • Collaborate with account teams to develop innovative research solutions tailored to client needs.

Client Engagement

  • Serve as the primary analytics point of contact for key clients.
  • Present complex analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Identify client pain points and challenges that can be addressed through advanced analytical techniques.

Team Development

  • Foster a culture of analytical excellence.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in market research analytics.
  • Lead thought leadership initiatives, including blogs, conference presentations, and internal/external training sessions.
  • Create a plan for team growth and development.

Information Security Management

The person in this role is responsible for being compliant with the KJT Group Information Security Policy and all other policies, processes, and documentation related to information security within KJT Group.

Requirements

  

Key Competencies for Success:

  • Analytical Experience: Advanced knowledge of statistical tools (Python, R, SQL, SPSS, Q), and proficiency in predictive modeling, prescriptive analysis, and NLP for unstructured data.
  • Technological Proficiency: Skilled in applying AI technologies, including predictive modeling and optimization, and staying up-to-date with emerging trends in research technologies.
  • Data Visualization & Communication: Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights using platforms like Tableau, Power BI, and Displayr. Strong communication skills to present findings clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Market Research Methodology: Deep understanding of core market research techniques, including survey design, MaxDiff/TURF analysis, conjoint analysis, segmentation, and time series analysis.
  • Data Integration & Quality Assurance: Expertise in integrating primary and secondary data sources (e.g., EHRs, claims data) and ensuring data quality through validation, anomaly detection, and compliance with GDPR/HIPAA standards. Demonstrates a commitment to high data integrity standards.
  • Project & Client Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize client needs, and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused mindset.
  • Self-Leadership: Demonstrates self-awareness, sets and holds oneself accountable to clear goals, adapts to changing business needs, and uses critical thinking to independently analyze problems and make informed decisions while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical findings in an engaging and accessible manner.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while managing changing priorities in a fast-paced, client-service environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical market research.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.

Education/Experience: 

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline preferred (business, mathematics, data sciences, statistics, social sciences, economics) 
  • 5+ years of relevant industry/sector experience, preferably in healthcare and life sciences analytics.
  • Experience in a leadership or managerial capacity within an analytics-focused role.

Computer Skills: 

  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with the Adobe Acrobat Suite of tools.
  • High degree of comfort with videoconferencing and desktop-sharing software (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
  • Willingness to learn and use new platforms/programs as needed.
