Description
Position Purpose:
Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Facilities, the Facilities Technician I plays a key role in the operation and maintenance of Heritage’s Class A buildings. This position requires a high level of dependability, technical skill, and professionalism. The technician will perform a broad range of semi-skilled maintenance duties, including repair, construction, and remodeling of facilities and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to work orders and perform routine maintenance tasks
- Maintain equipment per preventive maintenance schedules
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and systems for safety or operational issues
- Perform general facility maintenance including:
- Basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs
- Drywall, painting, and tile work
- Carpentry, locks, windows, and roofing repairs
- Landscaping and groundskeeping
- Repair and maintain fixtures such as toilets, sinks, urinals, showers, drains, floors, and carpets
- Adhere to safety, health, and sanitation standards at all times
- May include maintenance of pools, spas, or hot tubs
- Other duties as assigned, across any Heritage Real Estate Company properties
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance and/or construction
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- OSHA Forklift and/or Scissor Lift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in varied conditions, including confined spaces, outdoor environments, and high locations
- Ability to push/pull/lift/carry up to 50 lbs
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with reliable transportation and insurability under company policy

$26.44- $28.85 Hourly DOE
