Southern Lumber & Millwork is a third-generation, family-owned and operated building materials supplier serving custom home builders, contractors, architects, and homeowners throughout Charleston, SC and the South Carolina Lowcountry since 1941.
We are looking for a dependable Class A or Class B CDL Driver to join our Yard & Operations Team. If you enjoy driving, take pride in providing outstanding customer service, and want a stable Monday-Friday schedule with no overnight travel, we'd love to meet you.
As one of our CDL Drivers, you'll safely deliver lumber, moulding, windows, doors, millwork, and other building materials to job sites throughout the Charleston area while representing Southern Lumber with professionalism.

What You'll Do
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle while following all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety procedures.
- Deliver lumber, building materials, windows, doors, moulding, and millwork to local job sites.
- Load, transport, secure, and unload materials safely to prevent damage.
- Verify delivery paperwork and maintain accurate delivery records.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service on every delivery.
- Work closely with the Yard and Operations Team to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Represent Southern Lumber with professionalism at every customer job site.

- Valid Class A or Class B CDL
- Clean driving record
- Experience operating commercial vehicles safely
- Ability to safely load, transport, and unload building materials
- Ability to lift and move building materials as needed
