Position Summary

As a Maintenance Technician for Lion’s Choice Restaurants, you will be responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of a variety of commercial kitchen equipment and facilities at 22 company-owned restaurant locations. Your work ensures the safety, efficiency, and functionality of our restaurants, contributing directly to our guest and team member experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect,      maintain, and repair commercial kitchen equipment including Winston CVAP ovens,      bun toasters, fryers, fry dump stations, ice makers, and refrigeration      units.
  • Handle      routine and emergency plumbing tasks, including but not limited to      repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
  • Execute      light carpentry, drywall repair and painting.
  • Repair      lighting fixtures, electrical outlets, and small appliances.
  • Complete      preventative maintenance tasks according to scheduled timelines, such has      replacement of HVAC and water filters.
  • Monitor      and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; request replacements      as needed.
  • Respond      promptly to work orders and service requests from restaurant managers.
  • Maintain      logs of maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Coordinate      with external vendors when necessary for specialized repairs.
  • Respond      to after-hours emergencies when necessary.
Requirements

  

Qualifications

  • Technical      certification or vocational training preferred
  • 5+      years of experience in facilities maintenance or commercial kitchen      equipment repair.
  • Knowledge      of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Familiarity      with health and safety regulations for food service environments
  • Ability      to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
  • Strong      problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability      to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Must      have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Physical      ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in tight spaces, and stand or walk for      long periods. Relocate kitchen equipment as needed
