Description

United Recovery Project Behavioral Health, located in Riviera Beach, Florida, is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead our Residential Mental Health Program. About the Role 


The Director of Nursing will provide clinical and operational leadership for the Residential Mental Health Program, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. This role oversees daily nursing operations, medication management, and adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards. The Director of Nursing collaborates closely with Medical, Clinical, and Operations leadership to support staff development and maintain a trauma-informed, recovery-focused treatment environment.

Core Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing:

  • Provide leadership to the nursing team and collaborate with a multidisciplinary staff to ensure the highest quality of patient care
  • Partner with Compliance and Quality teams to implement, monitor, and update policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory standards
  • Work closely with HR to support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development of nursing staff
  • Develop and maintain staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of care
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record
  • Maintain full compliance with state and federal regulations, licensing, and accreditation requirements
  • Review and assess potential admissions for clinical appropriateness within a residential mental health level of care
  • Provide clinical support on the floor, including participation in patient de-escalation and crisis management when needed

Pay Range:

$95,000 - $115,000 Annually

*Commensurate with experience.

Requirements


Qualifications of the Director of Nursing:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license required.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing leadership experience in a residential or inpatient mental health setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support a high-performing clinical team.
  • Strong clinical experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental health conditions.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach with excellent communication and crisis management skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records; KIPU EMR experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer literacy and organizational skills.
