SUMMARY: Main responsibilities include obtaining consignments and selling Modern & Contemporary Art
LOCATION: Beverly Hills, California

COMPENSATION: $90,000+ (Commensurate based on experience).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Source quality consignments from private collectors, estates, advisors, dealers, etc.
- Establish estimates and negotiate client terms
- Assist with research, authentication, and condition reports
- Proofread catalog descriptions and assist with assets for marketing materials
- Participate in the expansion of client database
- Market-specific consignments to valued clients
- Assist with client services as necessary
- Assist with formal written appraisals as required
- Review settlements and wires
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years experience in a major auction house preferred and/or as a commercial dealer focusing on Modern and Contemporary Art; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel
- Ability to multitask and pay great attention to detail
- Must have a positive attitude with exceptional customer service skills
- Public speaking talents are a plus!
