JOB SUMMARY
Leitner-Poma of America, Inc. is seeking highly motivated Welders to perform welding tasks of varying levels of complexity using metal inert gas (MIG) and tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding equipment. This role will be responsible for understanding and applying welding techniques, working quickly & skillfully with their hands and with others to complete components in specified time frame, and will achieve various necessary certifications within the first 90 days of employment. This is a full-time, hourly position currently hiring for day and weekend shifts. See descriptions below for pay structures & responsibilities.

WEEKEND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL
In addition to the regular compensation for these roles, Leitner-Poma is offering a $5.00 shift differential to individuals who qualify for the weekend shift.

WELDER I (MIG) – $19.00-$24.00 per hour based on relevant experience & certifications.
The Level I Welder is responsible for laying out, fitting, and MIG welding various structural shapes and plate thicknesses using multiple welding machines and processes. Individuals in this position will read and interpret drawings to determine specific welding requirements, perform visual weld inspections, and adhere to safety procedures and quality standards, identifying any safety concerns and taking appropriate action. Additionally, the position requires maintaining clean and organized work areas, demonstrating excellent attendance and work habits, and participating in all required training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge under close supervision.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED Equivalent
- Must be successful in acquiring a 1G and 1F certification within first 90 days.
- Valid Drivers License with the ability to travel as needed.
- Authorized to work in the United States of America.
- Proficient in the English language.
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years previous MIG welding experience.
WELDER II (MIG/TIG) – $21.00-$26.00 per hour based on relevant experience & certifications.
In addition to all Level I responsibilities, the Level II Welder is responsible for laying out, fitting, and welding more complex structural shapes and plate thicknesses using multiple MIG and TIG welding machines and processes. Individuals in this position will read and interpret drawings to determine specific welding requirements, perform visual weld inspections, and adhere to safety procedures and quality standards, identifying any safety concerns and taking appropriate action. Additionally, this position will safely move finished products using overhead cranes and forklifts, mentor less experienced welders, and adhere to safety procedures and quality standards, including wearing appropriate PPE.

- High School Diploma / GED Equivalent
- Must be successful in acquiring a 3G certification within first 90 days.
- Valid Drivers License with the ability to travel as needed.
- Authorized to work in the United States of America.
- Proficient in the English language.
Desired Qualifications
- At least 3 years previous welding experience and/or welding certificate.
- Proficient with SAP and Time Tracker.
