Description

This is a 3rd Shift Position opportunity.


The role of the Maintenance Supervisor is to assign trained associates to repairs and Preventative Maintenance programs according to priority to maintain the planned production schedule and reduce downtime. Monitor and follow-up on work performed to ensure timeliness and correctness. Assist and support the Maintenance Department in repair and problem-solving skills. 


Essential Job Functions:

· Identify and train maintenance personnel in the proper care and maintenance of equipment and provide the necessary tools and equipment for effective use by all associates.

· Open and close Work Orders in a timely manner. Ensure that Root Cause Analyses are being performed on equipment breakdowns, notes are included in the Work Orders, and Corrective & Preventative Actions are being implemented.

· Review associate time entry for accuracy and assign work to best utilize their time.

· Assist with trouble shooting and repair of all equipment while working within the department budget and avoiding cost overruns. Effectively determine manpower requirements, assign work, and utilize supplies & repair parts in order to minimize costs.

· Complete purchase requisitions for parts needing repaired/replaced and make suggestions for spare parts inventory.

· Maintain all CNC and PLC based equipment in proper working order.

· Perform the repair and maintenance of all CNC/PLC based equipment.

· Train maintenance personnel in the proper care and maintenance of equipment.

· Assist in developing preventive maintenance programs for all CNC/PLC equipment.

· Procure and maintain a technical reference library for equipment, operational manuals and troubleshooting guides.

· Gather and maintain records that reflect all CNC/PLC equipment down time.

· Log and inventory all spare parts required to maintain maximum machine availability time for all CNC/PLC equipment.

· Assist in new equipment installations and start-ups, including defining proper training, Preventative Maintenance checklists and schedules, and spare parts inventory.

· Work as a team member to assist the TPM and Engineering Departments. Communicate effectively with other shift supervisors to transfer knowledge of production schedule, equipment issues, and priorities to other shifts.

· Duties require some off-shift work and also requires a cell phone to be worn at home in the event of questions, so repairs can be made expeditiously

Required Abilities/Skills

· Must be a self-starter and have the ability to coordinate work efforts and assume responsibility.

· All supervisors are to be competent in the areas of his/her department and be able to provide training to all associates in this area. Training may be delegated to qualified associates at the discretion of the supervisor. 

· All Supervisors must possess strong interpersonal skills in a participative management environment. He or she must be aggressive in pursuing a program of continuous improvement in the search of a better way to make a quality product more efficiently. 

· Basic computer skills are required in normal routine daily operations

· Ability to prioritize and handle many diverse projects and issues simultaneously; ability to deal with important issues that can have a significant impact on the long-term success of the Company. 

· Must be organized and deadline oriented and have strong verbal communication skills.


Education/Experience

· Associate Electrical Engineering degree of Technical training in electronics or machine controls, plus hands on experience repairing and working with CNC/PLC equipment.


Physical Requirements

· Must be able to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time

· Must be able to lift 60 pounds or less
