Description

Springfield Hospital is seeking a compassionate and dedicated nurse to care for patients in the outpatient infusion specialty clinic. The ideal candidate would have greater than 2 years' RN experience, have excellent communication skills, feel comfortable working autonomously with clinical support and demonstrate compassionate and empathetic bedside manner. Low patient ratio, a beautifully renovated unit, ideal working hours and the team's strong commitment to compassionate patient centered care make this position the ideal work environment.

The Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) will:

  • Provide nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, within the framework of the Department of Nursing, and in conjunction with Specialty-Specific Standards of Patient Care.
  • Utilize the Nursing Process to make nursing judgments and assumes responsibilities for nursing care and documentation to include delegation of work to other levels of employees.
  • Ensure practice meets compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.

Floating to other departments when there is low census may be required.

Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
  • Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (Required completion at first course offering after hire)
  • Oncology Nursing Society
  • Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification, achieved and maintained. (Initial certification required within 3 months of hire)
  • De-escalation Training (preferred)
  • Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas.
  • Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan.
  • Effective people skills and communication.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products.
  • Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery.
