Live Organic Herbs (LOH) Associate
Location: Anderson, SC
Pay: $17/hour
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7 am - 7:30 pm) - 4 days on, 2 days off
About the Role
Our LOH department is responsible for preparing, cleaning, and packaging the fresh herbs that end up in stores across the country. This is a hands-on production role in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and attention to detail matter.
You'll rotate between two main rooms-- Build and Pack -- both essential parts of getting our herbs ready for market.
What You'll Be Doing
In the Build Room:
- Work as part of a small team (usually three people per side of a table).
- Inspect herb plants, removing any dead or decayed leaves.
- Add soil to pots and sleeve finished herbs into trays.
- Move completed carts of herbs to the next stage of production.
- Other duties as assigned.
In the Pack Room:
- Load potted herbs onto a conveyer belt for printing and boxing.
- Build and package herbs into boxes, ensuring each order is packed correctly.
- Label, stack, and wrap pallets according to customer specifications.
- Assist with loading/relocating completed pallets using a pallet jack.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to prove work eligibility through E-Verify.
- Ability to work in cool temperatures.
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive motions for the entire shift.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and push/pull carts or pallets of product using a rolling cart or pallet jack.
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts
- Reliable attendance and punctuality -- the team setup depends on everyone showing up.
- Basic communication skills in English or Spanish (to read labels, follow instructions, and communicate with leads/supervisors).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in production, assembly, warehouse, or food packaging environments.
- Comfort using pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail -- catching product or labeling errors before they leave the floor.
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to rotate between tasks and rooms.
Work Environment
- The rooms are kept cool -- around 57° -- to keep the herbs fresh, so you'll need to be comfortable working in that temperature.
- Expect to be on your feet for your entire shift performing repetitive motions.
- You'll occasionally lift up to 10-15 lbs. for trays of herbs, 5 lbs. or less for stacks of boxes, and push or pull rolling carts of herbs.
