 Job Summary:

The Vice President of Information Systems is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization’s network infrastructure, server architecture, cybersecurity strategy, and IT compliance programs. This executive will ensure the stability, security, and scalability of all technology systems while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and a strategic mindset to align IT operations with business goals.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership
• Develop and execute the vision and roadmap for network infrastructure, server operations, cybersecurity, and IT compliance.
• Partner with executive leadership to align information systems strategy with overall business objectives.
Network & Server Infrastructure
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and resilient network and server environments (on-premise, hybrid, or cloud-based).
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for all critical systems.
Cybersecurity
• Lead the development and enforcement of robust information security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Manage risk assessment, vulnerability management, incident response, and cybersecurity training initiatives.
Compliance & Governance
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Oversee internal and external IT audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain documentation and reporting required for regulatory and security standards.
Team Leadership
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of IT professionals, including network engineers, systems administrators, and cybersecurity staff.
• Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Vendor & Budget Management
• Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and consultants.
• Develop and manage the departmental budget and resource allocation.
 

Requirements

 

Qualifications:



• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in network architecture, server management, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience managing compliance in regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid infrastructures.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CCSP are highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
• Familiarity with DevOps and automation practices is a plus.
