ABOUT THE GIG

This is a hands-on role—you are the heart and soul of our on-site team, you'll be the one keeping our crew fueled and focused as they build the most challenging race courses on the planet. This gig is for someone who can thrive in an outdoor, field-based environment and has a passion for logistics and feeding a hard-working team. You'll be in charge of everything from planning and cooking meals for up to 50 people a day to managing inventory and keeping our operations running smoothly.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Culinary Leadership
- Prepare and serve meals daily for up to 100 staff and volunteers during 11–14 day events.
- Cook in an outdoor, field-based setting using limited equipment (grills, burners, etc.).
- Adapt menus to accommodate varying dietary needs and restrictions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining area (“the café”) on-site.
Operational Support
- Manage full kitchen and café setup, teardown, and inventory at each event.
- Source, shop, and restock groceries and kitchen supplies both online and locally.
- Serve as the point of contact for volunteer meal needs pre- and post-race weekend.
- Track food purchases and manage receipts to align with event budgets.
Logistics & Team Support
- Assist with errands, including local vendor pickups, supply runs, and material sourcing.
- Operate and manage equipment including 26-ft U-Hauls, flatbeds, and standard trucks.
- Inventory and pack staff & volunteer t-shirts and café items post-event for shipping.
- Track and label staff radios; log issues and coordinate repairs.
- Collaborate with procurement on supply orders for upcoming events.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience cooking for large groups, especially in outdoor or mobile environments (camp/catering/large-scale cafeteria preferred).
- Willingness and availability to travel for extended periods (up to 14 consecutive days).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks in all weather conditions.
- Experience operating trucks, trailers, and various equipment.
- Comfortable with tools and light construction material handling is a plus.
- Strong communication skills; able to engage volunteers and staff positively.
- Proficiency with Google Drive, Slack, WhatsApp, and basic tech tools.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record.
