Description

The Director of Marketing and Planning serves as a member of the Administrative Executive Team (AET) as a Senior Leader at Springfield Hospital. The Director of Marketing and Planning will:

  • Be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of all marketing, branding, communication and public relations initiatives.  
  • Oversee development and implementation of support materials and services in the areas of marketing, communications and public relations. 
  • Lead media relations, traditional and digital marketing. 
  • Assist with strategic planning efforts, using data and analytics to guide decision-making and assists with the preparation of the annual operating budget. 
  • Develop long-term strategies, setting measurable goals, and analyzing performance to drive continuous improvement and organizational growth. 
  • Manage the Springfield Hospital Volunteer program. 
  • Act as the administrative leader for the Board Development committee and all fundraising activities.
  • As a member of AET, participate in rotating Administrator on Call (AOC) coverage.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field. 
  • Master’s degree (preferred)
  • 5 years of experience/demonstrated success in Public Relations, Community Relations, or Marketing Director level position in a large organization. 
  • Experience in developing annual reports, brochures, special publications, etc. 
  • Experience in developing marketing plans and ad campaigns.  
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns. 
  • Experience with fundraising. 
  • Experience in data capture and analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.) 
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Deep understanding of healthcare marketing regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Stark Law). 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills. 
  • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms, analytics tools and content management systems. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small-team environment. 
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with various stakeholders. 
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and appropriately.
  • Ability to adapt resources to meet the needs of the situation.
