Role Overview
The Inside Sales Representative serves as a customer service-centric facilitator to the sales process that generates new sales opportunities via phone, email, or other electronic communication.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates the sales process through project management, tracking open sales orders, issue resolution, and overall customer service and support.
- Prospects for new sales opportunities via outbound calling and emailing.
- Provides product pricing by consulting the pricing matrix, as well as other complex tables, to determine the appropriate price.
- Ensures timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.
- Contributes to add-on sales by maintaining a high level of product knowledge.
- Handles customer inquiries and problem resolution when an outside salesperson is not available.
- Performs estimating, take-off, and proposal duties, as necessary.
- All other duties as required and assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of inside sales experience in the same or similar industry preferred.
- Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
- Experience with distribution-specific ERP systems, preferably Eclipse.
- Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
- Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lift to 50 lbs., carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling, endure frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
