SUMMARY: 

The Vice President – Member Credit Solutions is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Member Credit Solutions Team. The ideal candidate will manage the Credit Union's collections process, while focusing on financial wellness solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and procedural best practices. This role will drive efficiency, risk management considerations, establish key collections performance metrics, and report to senior executive leadership. This position requires strategic management of delinquencies and a deep understanding of lending, particularly the auto industry. Must have expertise in managing delinquencies in an Indirect Portfolio. There is a potential for a hybrid work arrangement.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of credit solution professionals, ensuring they approach the collections process from the perspective of financial wellness.
  • Ensure effective design and execution of loan collection operating controls, in compliance with adhering to lending regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Understand and promote Financial Wellness tools, providing team training for this unique approach, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and departments to promote financial wellness across the organization.
  • Promote sound risk management and business continuity practices and proactively escalate control weaknesses and emerging risks to senior management.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable regulations that impact collection practices.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Eight to ten years of experience in similar or related roles within the financial services industry. Preference extended to those with five or more years in leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Equivalent education or experience considered.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Excellent leadership, people management, and organizational development skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate in a team-oriented and collaborative work environment.

Salary Description
$150,000 - $160,000
