Description

Under general supervision responsible for processing all deliveries to the store location. Opening, and unpacking shipments of glasses and contacts received from the manufacturing laboratory delivered to the store. Verify completed jobs received and taking all necessary steps in preparation for distribution to the customer/patient in an efficient and timely manner. 


Essential Functions


Receive daily incoming delivery of glasses and contacts to the store


Open and unpack all shipments received


Complete intake/neutralizing intake process which includes examining glasses and contacts, examine for any damage, verify prescription, verify patient information, and validate with initial order request for accuracy


Match order job orders, invoices and packing slips for proper size, quantity, color, style, prescription, etc.


Clean up the product and remove any production material residue, dust, fingerprints, etc.


Tray up the received completed jobs and place in proper bin/location


Run various reports such as but not limited to: On-Hold Jobs, Audit Reports, Work in Progress (WIP) Reports, etc.


Perform all other functions as required

Job Specifications


Typically has the following skills or abilities:


Previous distribution center or shipping experience is preferred 


Basic computer skills preferred


Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and able to multitask


Must be able to work accurately and safely under pressure


Ability to lift boxes and packages up to 10 lbs


Ability to walk, sit, bend, and overreach to manage orders/shipments.


Overtime and weekend hours may be required

 

Working Conditions


The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust etc.


The working environment is well lighted and ventilated. Individuals are typically required to stand for long periods of time. Noise and dust from power-grinding machinery and other equipment is to be expected. Individuals may wear safety attire such as goggles and gloves and may work physically close to others, such as when sharing work areas. There are no major hazards.

The compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions.
