The Wedding & Event Planner at Queenstown Harbor is responsible for the seamless execution of weddings and private events at our stunning waterfront property, owned and operated by The Brick Companies. This role is ideal for a passionate, detail-driven planner who thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

This position reports directly to the Director of Events.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities

Event Planning

Guide clients through all phases of planning—including timelines, floorplans, tastings, vendor coordination, and rehearsals

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners

Understand client needs while acting as the go-to-expert and advocate for the venue

Present all available upgrades and rental options to enhance the experience

Update all invoices reflecting event details and collect payments

Build BEO’s to communicate function and needs with other operational departments

Maintain accurate records for all event details ensuring stress-free execution

Event Execution

Collaborate with internal teams (food & beverage, golf, lodging, grounds) to execute flawless events

Serve as the lead planner from contract through post-event wrap-up

Manage on-site event setup, guest flow, vendor logistics, and breakdown

Quickly troubleshoot and resolve challenges that arise during events

Adapt and pivot as needed, maintaining professionalism and focus under pressure

Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

Required

Proven success in planning weddings or private events

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Highly organized with excellent time management and attention to detail

Calm under pressure and comfortable making quick decisions

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Team player with a “no task too small” mindset

Flexibility to handle a busy schedule—especially during peak season (April through October)

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or related field—or equivalent industry experience

Familiarity with Event Temple or other CRM/event software (a plus)

Knowledge of golf operations is a bonus, but not required

Creative mindset, positive attitude, and a sense of humor
