Description

SDS Arms, a fast-growing designer and importer of firearms under the Tisas, MAC, Tokarev, Inglis and Spandua brands, is looking to hire a VP of Sales. Based in Knoxville, TN, SDS Arms has been growing over 25% for the past few years by introducing commemorative, modern and tribute handguns and shotguns. The VP Sales will be responsible for growing sales and gross margin dollars and report to the CEO.


SDS Arms sells primarily through the wholesale channel therefore the Sr. Sales Manager should have significant experience growing sales through wholesalers. 


Core Requirements

· Director or VP level sales leader for a firearms manufacturer or wholesaler. Not firearms parts.

· At least 20 years of total experience with at least 5 at the Director or VP level

· At least 7 years of experience in the firearms industry

· Extremely competent knowledge of firearms market and trends

· Very strong leadership and communication skills

· Bachelor’s degree


Core Responsibilities

· Lead the sales team to penetrate and expand sales within wholesalers

· Expand dealer growth within existing buy groups

· Develop sales programs to grow gross margin dollars

· Identify and manage wholesaler and buy group shows

· Develop product pricing

· Develop and manage sales forecast

· Develop and implement training programs for wholesalers

· Manage sales KPIs

· Assist with the development of new products

· Assist with identifying inventory requirements


Other Requirements

· Competent with MS Office and ERP tools in general

· Ability to travel 25% on average but higher in Q1

· Ability to relocate or travel to Knoxville frequently
