As an Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Technician you will update, troubleshoot, and repair equipment vital to the manufacturing process of wood fiber insulation.

Qualifications/Required Skills

  • Familiar with OSHA Industrial safety programs such as lockout/tag out, confided space entry, fire permits and others
  • Experience operating a fork truck and other mobile equipment such as scissor lifts, boom lifts (training provided)
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Basic knowledge about pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, automatic control valves, PID control loops
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good documentation detail
  • Advanced knowledge of safely constructing, commissioning, and testing electrical systems
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and can establish and maintain good working relationships with internal teams
  • Familiar with reading electrical prints and PLC ladder logic to support troubleshooting efforts
  • Must be able to work a combination of a 12-hour day/night rotating schedule
  • Shift work will be required, as well as occasional weekend and holiday coverage
  • Willing and able to work overtime when required
  • Undertaking supplementary duties as required by the organization

Education, Experience and Licensing:

  • Minimum of a technical associate degree in the Electrical and/or Instrumentation discipline or equivalent training
  • Experience working in an E&I role in a 24/7 manufacturing environment preferred
  • Journeyman or Masters license preferred but not required 
  • OSHA certification preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Basic computers skills including use of Microsoft Office products

Physical Requirements: 

  • Able to work at heights
  • Able to lift >50 pounds 
  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Able to work in a confined space
  • Able to wear required PPE
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • May be required to wear a respirator
