Summary of Position
The Northeast Campus Pastor leads the campus staff team to accomplish the mission and vision of Mercy Hill Church in their local context. This is primarily accomplished through a significant focus on the weekly gathering, oversight of groups ministry at the campus, and leveraging influence to move campus attendees towards giving and going. Success for this role is defined by growing campus metrics, healthy campus culture in alignment with Mercy Hill DNA, and consistent multiplication of leaders.

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Excellence in Implementing the Culture of Mercy Hill
- Ensure Weekend Gatherings reflect the core DNA of Mercy Hill by overseeing service flow and addressing any distractions in real-time.
- Be a visible pastoral presence, engaging with attendees, praying with those in need, and building relational connections.
- Model and reinforce the Mercy Hill values during meetings, interactions, and team leadership, acting as the “primary carrier” of church culture.
- Actively seek and act on feedback to maintain a culture of continual improvement in gatherings and team performance.
2. Leadership through Accountability and Development
- Lead, manage, and hold campus staff accountable to Mercy Hill’s Mission, Vision, and Values through weekly Level 10 meetings, quarterly Rocks reviews, and 1:1 meetings.
- Conduct annual reviews with a focus on growth, alignment, and goal-setting for each team member.
- Oversee the hiring, development, and, when necessary, releasing of staff, ensuring alignment with Mercy Hill’s leadership expectations.
- Create pathways for staff to grow as leaders and shepherds, equipping them to step into new levels of responsibility or roles.
3. Pastoring People Through the Growth Flywheel
- Regularly evaluate metrics and trends (e.g., attendance, groups, and giving) to make proactive decisions that foster growth and engagement.
- Shepherd groups by equipping elders to lead group leaders effectively, ensuring robust discipleship at every level.
- Ensure prompt, consistent follow-up with attendees, particularly first-time guests and those needing care, to build connections and trust.
- Engage with the local community intentionally, creating opportunities to bring people into the flywheel (e.g., outreach events, service opportunities).
4. Multiplication as the Pathway to Missional Impact
- Raise up leaders in every ministry area through the leadership pipeline, ensuring a continual flow of capable leaders.
- Identify and develop future church leaders, equipping them for roles in church planting, campus leadership, or ministry leadership.
- Inspire and mobilize people toward Mercy Hill’s vision of going and multiplying, whether through new services, campuses, or church plants.
- Actively plan and execute strategies for multiplying services or campuses to grow the movement and reach more people for the gospel.
