As a Transitions Care the Regional Operations Director oversees the performance, efficiency, and compliance of multiple hospice licenses, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational excellence. This role is responsible for driving financial and clinical outcomes, optimizing workflows, and leading teams to achieve growth objectives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in healthcare operations, regulatory compliance, and multi-site management, with a focus on strategic execution and continuous improvement.
Major Responsibilities
- Operations Leadership: Managing and mentoring site-level leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, and ensuring high-performing teams.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans as they pertain to hiring and retention, growth and referral source development, operational efficiency, and quality of care.
- Process Improvement: Analyze current processes, identify areas of improvement and implement changes to streamline operations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between clinical staff, administrative teams, external partners, and business development staff to ensure communication and collaboration.
- Growth: Oversee the growth of both the clinical and administrative teams, as well as the average daily census
- Budget Management: Driving P&L accountability, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and implementing operational improvements to enhance profitability.
- Regulatory & Quality Oversight – Ensuring all locations maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, survey readiness, and exceptional patient care standards.

Education and Experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years in healthcare operations, with at least 2 in palliative care, hospice, or a related field.
- Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and integrity, driven and focused work ethic
- In depth understanding of healthcare regulations, reimbursement, and quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make data driven decisions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage complex projects, and drive organizational change.
- Advanced knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modeling, leadership technique and operations
- Keen understanding of business controls and operations
