Job Summary


Responsible for selling medical products and services, including training, to the pre-hospital market, hospitals, trade and private customers and acts as a liaison between company and consumer. Pursuing new business opportunities and maintaining good relationships with existing stakeholders within a specified territory. Job holder to promote and adhere to the company values of quality and compliance with current legislation.


Essential Job Functions


· Work towards achieving the sales targets of the company by pursuing new business opportunities within an allocated region of the UK

· New business development – actively pursue opportunities to expand to new customer bases

· Key account management – assure continued relationships with an extensive base of customers within the region

· Actively pursue customer feedback via surveys and other communication to assist the QA team in post-market surveillance activities

· Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of competitor products 

· Report sales figures to the Sales Manager

· Contact potential customers to sell medical products and equipment, services, and training 

· Travel throughout assigned territory to sell medical equipment, services and training to existing and prospective customers

· Arrange appointments and deliver presentations to customers and potential customers

· Provide end user training, where applicable 

· Build relationships with customers and perform product demonstrations

· Provide support and expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction 

· Provide competitive information such as bid situations, pricing data, or bundling arrangements, to establish negotiated pricing contracts for assigned products

· Research competitors and competitor products 

· Gather, analyze, and deliver information from the field and provide sales data/reports to management allowing the company to develop strategies and products

· Coordinate all issues with key clients between sales, service, support, customer services, marketing, and finance

· Attend conferences

· Stay informed about the activities of health services in your relevant area and improve own product knowledge and sales techniques

· Liaise with suppliers regarding new products/information and presentations and other internal departments

· Attend regular internal product training sessions


Qualifications


· Technical knowledge and understanding of the medical industry

· Computer literate & experienced in Microsoft Office applications

· 12 months experience of sales within the medical device industry
