We're seeking a team-oriented Human Resources Manager with a blend of relational and technical expertise. This role is pivotal in driving HR initiatives that enhance employee well-being and inclusion across Mahlum.

What The Role Will Be Doing:
- Advise and report to Mahlum executives on HR-related matters and provide insights into business decisions.
- Develop and recommend employee engagement programs and practices that align with the strategic plans of the firm.
- Provide employee relations consultation and support to employees and leadership.
- Analyze HR metrics and data to provide recommendations for organizational improvements.
- Ensure HR policies, processes, and programs comply with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Maintain HR records, manage reporting, and oversee HR audits.
- Direct and manage the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes to attract talent.
- Design and manage the maintenance of compensation and benefits programs.
- Design and manage the performance management program and provide guidance on growth & development programs.
- Promote career growth and continuous learning initiatives for employees.
- Work with internal stakeholders to help support DEI aligned commitment programs.

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in managerial or leadership roles.
- Thorough understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices (specifically in Washington and Oregon).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
- Proven experience in strategic HR planning, including talent management, organizational development, and performance management.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of developing and leading high-performing HR teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems).
- Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional) or PHR (Professional in Human Resources) is a plus.
- Experience utilizing Paylocity is a plus.
- Flexibility to occasionally travel between our Portland and Seattle offices as needed for meetings, training, or other business needs.
What We Can Offer:
Starting annual salary ranges are targeted at ($95,000 – $ 130,000, depending on experience and location). Please note that with pay equity analysis, starting salary is based on the experience stated on your resume/application. Mahlum employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonus compensation in addition to salary.
