Job Summary:

The Local Sales Manager (LSM) will be responsible for leading, developing, and motivating the

local sales team to achieve and exceed revenue goals. This role requires a results-oriented

individual who thrives in a fast-paced media environment and is skilled in driving performance,

creating client-focused solutions, and developing long-term partnerships. This role will report

directly to the “General Manager / Director of Sales” in Bakersfield, Ca.

Key Responsibilities:

 Manage and coach a team of Account Executives to meet/exceed individual and team

revenue goals

 Develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with company goals

 Identify and cultivate new business opportunities across all media platforms

 Build and maintain strong relationships with key local advertisers and agencies

 Collaborate with other departments (Programming, Promotions, Digital) to develop

compelling cross-platform campaigns

 Utilize research and data to drive client strategies and campaign performance

 Monitor and report on team performance, forecasts, and key performance metrics

 Stay current on market trends, competitive landscape, and industry best practices

Requirements

3–5+ years of experience in media sales or advertising, with at least 1–2 years in a

leadership or management role

 Strong understanding of traditional and digital media platforms

 Proven track record of meeting/exceeding revenue goals in media advertising

 Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills

 Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities

 Knowledge of sales systems like SDS, Rumple, or similar CRM tools is a plus

 Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred
