Description
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations and overseeing the work of a team to ensure accounting practices are adhered to. This position analyzes complex financial records and reports, regulates, and authenticates financial transactions, oversees a ledger to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities include:
- Oversee global accounting functions, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, payroll, general ledger, transfer pricing, and taxes.
- Lead the month end close process and compile and analyze monthly financial statements in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)/
- Oversee the cash flow forecast report, sales KPI report and, working with FP&A team, generate additional management reports.
- Manage four direct reports, providing training, growth opportunities, and performance reviews.
- Maintains relationships with a variety of vendors and suppliers, including financial institutions, external accountants, auditors, and tax authorities.
- Responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely internal and external financial reporting.
- Actively participate in the annual review process of the financials, budgeting, and global audit process.
- Actively participate in the integration of new acquisitions including evaluating accounting and reporting policies and procedures, harmonizing those with policies and procedures and reviewing and implementing process and system changes.
- Participate in development and implementation of new reporting packages to internal and external stakeholders through NetSuite.
- Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with state and annual reporting requirements for all entities.
- Implement policies and procedures for efficiency and compliance.

- Able to work well under pressure, meeting multiple priorities and competing deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Advanced knowledge of Excel and other financial applications, NetSuite accounting software, Salesforce, PowerPoint, Tableau.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership skills required.

- Proactive work ethic and ability to perform with minimal supervision.
- Direct management experience.

KEY EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA certification preferred, but not required in lieu of experience.
- Has 7+ years of experience in a senior level accounting position with a mix of public accounting and public or private company experience.
- Demonstrated experience with internal controls and SOX compliance.
- Has strong knowledge of US GAAP and reporting requirements.
- Maintains a high level of proficiency in Microsoft and Google tools (Excel, Word, Gmail/Google).
- Demonstrated experience working in a highly, cross-functional, international environment.
- Has exceptional written and oral communication skills, and superior interpersonal skills.
DISTINGUISHING EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Superior ERP systems experience, preferably in NetSuite.
