Gentell is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will also play a crucial role in process improvement and providing support to the accounting management team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
- Analyze financial data and provide insightful reports and variance explanations.
- Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date on current accounting regulations and best practices.
- Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff, as needed.
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Controller.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Sage accounting system.
