This position requires managing the financial activities of accounting and to compile various financial reports. Accounting Supervisors will work with the Controller, Staff Accountants, Accounting Assistants, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Manage the accuracy, productivity and training and development of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash management and general accounting.
· Manage all financial accounting processes and activities: monthly closing (accruals, journal entries, balance sheet accounts reconciliations, inter-company transactions, etc.).
· Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
· Maintain appropriate internal controls.
· Assist with internal/external audit requests.
· Assist in the development and compilation of the annual financial budget and quarterly forecasts. Oversee monthly budget/forecast to actual monthly reporting.
· Show a “hands-on” attitude and capacity to dig into details but also to step back and convey key messages to management.
· Support Controller in other duties as assigned.
· Communicate and carry out company policy.
· Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
· Minimum of five (5) year of accounting experience.
· Two years of experience managing personnel and/or team lead experience preferred.
· Prior experience preparing financial statements.
· Strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles.
· High proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Outlook.
· Experience with MS Dynamics GP a plus.
· Prioritize and delegate work based on the most critical needs.
· Ability to accept responsibility and account for their actions.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license.
· Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
