Goebel is seeking a Cabinetmaker-Outfitter who combines traditional craftsmanship with modern materials and techniques. The Details

Technical Skills

  • Operate and maintain woodworking machinery including table saws, routers, jointers, and specialized hand tools.
  • Interpret production drawings and specifications to craft fixture components to exact tolerances.
  • Understand and work with a wide range of materials: wood, metal glass, plastics, textiles hardware components and electrical.
  • Assemble casework, millwork, and fixtures to exacting standards using appropriate techniques and materials.


Assembly & Finishing

  • Install low-voltage LED lighting, wiring harnesses, switches, transformers, and related components as specified in blueprints.
  • Test and verify electrical connections for functionality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and QA to validate installation requirements and component compatibility.
  • Incorporate various materials into final assemblies

Blueprints & Measurements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints for dimensions, assembly requirements, and fixture details
  • Competence in using detailed measuring devices to ensure precision and quality
  • Capable of marking fixtures accurately with correct information

Fit, Function & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct dry-fit tests of assembled units to ensure components function as intended.
  • Inspect completed units for visual defects, structural stability, and dimensional accuracy.
  • Record and communicate any discrepancies, and actively participate in troubleshooting and corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with QA, Engineering, and Production Teams to uphold quality and fitment standards.
Requirements

  Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years in cabinetry, millwork, fixture production, or a related trade; outfitting or final assembly experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, material take-offs, and hardware specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with electrical systems integration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, custom manufacturing environment.
  • High attention to detail and craftsmanship standards.

This role is physically demanding and requires regular movement in a production setting:

  • Occasional (1–10%): Sitting, crouching, climbing      (stairs/ladders/forklift), balancing
  • Infrequent to Moderate (11–33%): Bending/stooping, twisting,      reaching overhead
  • Frequent (34–66%): Walking, pushing/pulling, reaching forward      and low-level
  • Constant (67–100%): Standing

Lifting & Carrying

  • Rare (1–5%): 75–100 lbs.+ (team or assisted lifts)
  • Occasional (6–33%): 25–74 lbs.
  • Frequent (34–66%): Up to 24 lbs.
