Overtown Youth Center is seeking a strategic and mission-driven Development Relations & Engagement Manager (DREM) to join our team. The DREM focuses on engaging volunteers, donors, young professionals, corporate partners, schools, and community stakeholders to advance OYC’s fundraising and engagement goals. Reporting to the Strategic Partnership Manager, the DREM leads and supports events, initiatives, and engagement pipelines that grow OYC’s donor base, increase volunteer participation, strengthen partnerships, and elevate the organization’s visibility. What You Would Do:
• Develop and execute strategic plans for recruiting, onboarding, training, and deploying volunteers.
• Manage volunteer assignments, schedules, communication, and experience, including feedback loops.
• Curate meaningful volunteer engagement opportunities aligned with program and organizational needs.
• Identify “white glove” volunteers requiring higher-level stewardship and serve as their point of contact.
• Build pipelines that transition into low- to mid-level donors.
• Cultivate and steward low- to mid-level donors with consistent communication and engagement.
• Represent OYC Miami at community and donor events to strengthen visibility and relationships.
• Support and occasionally lead donor engagement events, small donor gatherings, and cultivation activities.
• Assist with developing and activating the Young Professionals Network (YPN), including recruitment and conversion into donors/volunteers.
• Support school partnership initiatives and manage volunteer or speaker participation.
• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of development, program, and community events.
• Lead or support cross-developmental projects tied to organizational priorities and high-visibility initiatives.
• Foster strong relationships with community organizations, corporate partners, universities, and civic groups.
• Serve as the point of contact for recurring partner-driven engagements and ensure alignment with OYC’s mission.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to draft content, presentations, and materials for donor, volunteer, and partner communications.
Who We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in development, volunteer coordination, community engagement, or event planning.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass drug screening and Level 2 background check.
• Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High emotional intelligence, professional presence, and strong customer service orientation.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with database systems.
