Camps Kitchen|Bar is Hiring Experienced Line Cooks!!!

Camps Kitchen and Bar is a neighborhood gathering place with a passion for great food & drink—served in a rustic, laid-back atmosphere. We offer an elevated mix of Italian-inspired tavern fare featuring stone oven pizzas cooked in our 600-degree brick oven, fresh pasta with made-from-scratch sauces, house grind burgers, and small plates that are perfect for sharing.

Our fully stocked bar offers a diverse list of beers (and wine!) with an emphasis on true craft brew. Next to the bar, you’ll find our lounge with a wood-burning fireplace and comfortable seating, making it a stellar place to relax with a drink. Outside, our patio looks over an idyllic pond, perfect for a bite in the fresh air.

 

Open Availability. Weekends are a must!

Rate of pay is negotiable based on experience - $16-$20

Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.


Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to our restaurant's recipes and standards. Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Follows proper Dress Code and Servsafe/Health Department guidelines.
  • Line Checks and Temperature Log structure followed.
  • Follow all the recipes and build sheets every time.
  • Prepare and cook food items according to our restaurant's recipes and standards
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Ensure that food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented in an appealing manner
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work with the kitchen team to ensure that all orders are completed in a timely manner
  • Assist with inventory and ordering of supplies as needed
  • Proven experience as a Line Cook
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
  • Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.
  • Assists in food prep assignments and dishwashing during off-peak periods as needed.
  • Opening and/or Closing of the kitchen properly and follows the checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in opening and/or closing the kitchen.
  • Helps maintain the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, prep, walkins, restrooms, dish areas and outside areas through the daily/weekly/monthly cleaning lists.
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or manager-on-duty.
