About the Job

Are you a current or past foster, adoptive, or kinship parent looking for a flexible schedule with a passion to support families through their own journey? Seasons is a comprehensive behavioral health center offering a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral health services to communities in the Northwest Iowa region. We are currently seeking a Foster, Adoptive, and Kinship Peer Partner to provide support to foster, adoptive, and kinship families, as well as individuals or families who have experienced trauma, or are at-risk for system involvement. This position will act as a mentor to families by providing guidance and role modeling through insight gained from their own personal lived experience. This position could be based in Spencer, Sheldon, Spirit Lake, or Sioux Center, IA.


Salary Range

$15.00-$20.00 per hour (Commensurate with experience)

Requirements
  • Must have personal experience as primary caregiver for foster, kinship, and/or adoptive children
  • A certification in Family Peer Support or the willingness to become certified is required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Some travel is required for this position, so a valid driver’s license is required
  • Experience working in the human service field is preferred but not required
