Position Summary
Clearwave Fiber is seeking motivated and technically driven NOC Analyst I to support the 24/7 operations of our in-house Network Operations Center. This role plays a critical part in monitoring network health, responding to alarms, escalating issues, and supporting the restoration of services across Clearwave Fiber’s advanced fiber-optic network.
Working directly under the NOC Manager, this position is designed for individuals looking to develop or grow a career in network operations, supporting a network environment that leverages Calix access systems, Juniper core routing, Fujitsu transport gear, and Accedian performance monitoring platforms.
This role operates in a shift-based environment and are integral to our commitment to delivering world-class uptime and proactive support for Clearwave Fiber customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network infrastructure, alarms, and system health using network management platforms.
- Respond to initial alerts, engage in first-level triage, and escalate per defined incident protocols.
- Perform routine system checks including log audits, hardware status reviews, and connectivity validations.
- Log all incidents, changes, and communications accurately in the ticketing system.
- Assist in maintaining NOC documentation by updating runbooks, escalation guides, and SOPs.
- Participate in training sessions and shadow senior analysts to gain deeper operational experience.
- Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders and customers to provide clear updates during events.
What you will need:
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, ping/traceroute).
- Familiarity with common ticketing and monitoring systems (e.g., ServiceNow, SolarWinds, ManageEngine).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 environment.
- Customer-centric mindset with a strong sense of urgency.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented, high-availability environment.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow within a fast-paced network operations environment.
- Attention to detail, with the ability to follow process and document findings effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Juniper JNCIA.
- Desire and aptitude to grow within a high-performing network operations team.
Work Environment
- These roles operate in a 24/7/365 rotational shift schedule.
- On-site and remote flexibility may be available depending on operational needs and shift coverage.
- Interaction with Engineering, Field Operations, and Support teams is routine and collaborative.
