What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and manage complex power systems studies, including:
Arc Flash Hazard Analysis (NFPA 70E)
Short Circuit & Load Flow Studies
Protective Device Coordination
Review, validate, and finalize models, results, and technical reports.
Serve as a client liaison for project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
Mentor and coach junior engineers through technical challenges and project execution.
Ensure all studies comply with IEEE, NEC, NFPA, and internal QA/QC standards.
Support system commissioning and provide field-based technical guidance.
Conduct or contribute to internal and external training sessions.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
Licensed PE in Texas or ability to obtain via reciprocity (required)
8+ years of direct experience in power system analysis and design
Proficiency with one or more of the following: ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower
Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, and NEC
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage in a technical setting
Effective communicator with clients, internal teams, and field personnel
Preferred Experience
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
NETA affiliation or exposure to NETA testing standards
Familiarity with industrial, utility, and mission-critical infrastructure environments
Experience conducting QA/QC reviews and technical training
