Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide support to pediatricians and assist in delivering high-quality care to our young patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, a nurturing attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pediatricians during patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Record patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately
- Assist in administering vaccinations and medications as directed by the physician
- Educate patients and their families on health and wellness topics
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records in the electronic health record system
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and inventory management
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Previous experience in a pediatric or healthcare setting is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well with children and their families
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems and basic office software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
- Spanish Speaking or Portuguese Speaking Preferred
