The world of data-driven manufacturing is here and Heidtman is looking to be on the cutting edge of that effort in our industry.  We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Business Analyst to join the Heidtman Steel Team. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for creating Business Intelligence (BI) reports; writing, assessing and optimizing SQL queries; and assisting us with moving into the world of smart factories, Industry 4.0 and the use of AI and Machine Learning (ML). You will work closely with various stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver insights that drive business decisions. 

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain BI reports to support business decision-making.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Understand and apply basic AI and ML concepts to enhance data analysis.
• Assist IT and Business Leadership with evaluating and selecting tools and vendors
• Maintain general working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and its applications.
• Understand and implement data architecture principles to manage data effectively.
• Work within Microsoft Azure environment, ensuring data security and compliance.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights; leadership aptitude
• Proven experience in creating BI reports and writing SQL queries (Postgres a plus).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure and AWS platforms
• Basic knowledge of – and experience with - AI and ML concepts and platforms.
• Python, C++, C#, JavaScript (node.js)
• Microsoft Power Platform skills
• Understanding of data architecture principles.
• Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM)
• Strong understanding of customer-focused service delivery (ITIL)
