Grand Peaks is seeking a long-term, dependable Medical Records and Referral Coordinator to add to our amazing medical team! In this vital role, you’ll manage medical documentation and referrals to ensure patients receive timely, coordinated care. Must be a team player who is able to work well with other staff in a high-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Request, receive, and organize patient medical records from internal and external sources
- Scan, upload, and categorize documents
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPPA regulations
- Coordinate outgoing and incoming referrals with specialists and other providers
- Communicate with patients, providers and external offices to ensure timely care coordination
- Process outgoing and incoming referrals, ensuring complete and timely documentation
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in medical records, healthcare administration, or referral coordination preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Clear, professional communication skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
