About 5x5 Co-Op:
At 5x5coop.com, we are redefining the data supply chain through our unique co-op model, which provides access to raw data materials from our members and partners. Our mission is to transform this data into market-leading products that drive growth and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Director of Product to lead the strategic development and operational excellence of our data products, with a primary focus on leveraging and advancing our device graph capabilities to deliver tangible value for our co-op members and partners.
The Opportunity:
The Director of Product will own the product strategy, roadmap execution, and lifecycle management for data products built upon 5x5coop.com's unique data assets, with a specialized focus on our device graph technology. This role requires a hands-on leader to define product requirements, drive development with engineering and data science, and ensure successful product adoption. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in device graph construction, identity resolution, and data product commercialization, translating complex technical capabilities into market-ready solutions.
What You’ll Do:
Device Graph & Data Product Management
- Develop and execute a product strategy and roadmap for data solutions, ensuring the device graph is a core component for identity resolution, audience segmentation, and insights generation.
- Define detailed product specifications, including requirements for device graph inputs, processing logic, linkage accuracy, and output formats, to meet market needs.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the identity graph, including monitoring its performance, accuracy, and coverage, and prioritizing enhancements.
- Work with engineering and data science to design and refine identity graph algorithms and models for optimal performance and scalability.
- Conduct market analysis and customer interviews to identify and validate use cases for identity graph-powered products.
- Lead agile development processes, manage backlogs, and facilitate sprint planning and review sessions for device graph and related data product initiatives.
Co-op Member & Partner Engagement & Feedback
- Proactively engage with co-op members and partners through regular meetings, workshops, and advisory sessions to deeply understand their strategic goals and data needs related to the device graph.
- Establish and manage systematic feedback collection processes (e.g., surveys, user groups, beta programs) to gather insights on identity graph performance, usability, and value.
- Analyze and synthesize member and partner feedback to identify actionable insights, feature requests, and areas for improvement in the identity graph and associated data products.
- Champion member and partner needs internally, translating their feedback into clear product requirements and user stories for the development teams.
- Develop and maintain a transparent communication loop, regularly updating co-op members and partners on product enhancements, roadmap adjustments based on their feedback, and the value being delivered.
- Define and manage integration points for partners to contribute to and leverage the device graph, ensuring these meet partner technical requirements based on gathered feedback.
- Facilitate joint development initiatives with key co-op members and partners to co-create innovative solutions leveraging the device graph.
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalating and resolving member/partner issues related to device graph data products, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Technical Leadership & Market Intelligence
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in device graph technologies, identity resolution, privacy regulations, and competing solutions.
- Assess and integrate new data sources and methodologies to enhance the device graph’s capabilities and market differentiation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cross-functional teams on device graph best practices and data product development.
Required Skills & Capabilities
- 7-10+ years in product management, with a proven track record of launching and managing B2B data products in a technology company.
- Experience working in or closely with fast-paced, high-growth environments and demonstrate a startup mindset—bias towards action, and ability to scale processes from scratch.
- Minimum 4 years of extensive, hands-on experience with device graph technology, including:
- Deep understanding of deterministic and probabilistic identity resolution methodologies.
- Experience with device graph data sources (e.g., MAIDs, HEMs, IP addresses, cookies, connected TV IDs).
- Experience in managing graph accuracy, persistence, and scale.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex market needs and device graph capabilities into detailed technical product requirements and user stories.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to use data and metrics to define product success, prioritize development, and drive decisions.
- Proficiency in agile product management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills, adept at working with both technical and non-technical audiences, including external partners.
- In-depth understanding of data privacy principles and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and their implications for device graph and data product development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in adtech or martech, with specific use cases involving device graphs for targeting, measurement, or personalization.
- Familiarity with data co-op models or data marketplaces.
- Experience with data supply chain operations and data monetization strategies.
