Description

ATSI is seeking a highly organized and mission-driven Governance Operations and Administrative Analyst to support the Organizational and Management Policy Directorate (O&MPD) within the Office of the Performance Improvement Officer and Director of Administration and Management (OPIO-DA&M). This position provides critical operational and administrative support to the Director of Governance Policy and Integration, key government Action Officers, and the Immediate Offices of the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense.


The successful candidate will play an essential role in coordinating high-level governance meetings, managing decision-support tools, tracking strategic initiatives, and preparing materials for senior Department of Defense leaders. This is a fast-paced, highly visible role that supports some of the most senior decision-makers in the Pentagon.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrative and operational support for the governance processes led by the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense.
  • Coordinate and track the execution of governance forums such as:
    • Secretary of Defense Large Group
    • Deputy’s Management Action Group (DMAG)
    • Warriors Readiness Council (WRC)
    • Deputy’s Innovation Steering Group (DISG)
    • Legislative Review Panel (LRP), and more.
  • Manage and maintain decision-support and knowledge management platforms, particularly Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Organize meeting logistics including agenda setting, calendar management, conference room scheduling, read-ahead preparation, and RSVP tracking for 40+ senior officials.
  • Develop and distribute detailed meeting minutes and follow-up materials.
  • Assist in preparing high-quality briefing materials and status updates for senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across DoD Components (OSD, Joint Staff, Military Services) to support initiative tracking and reporting.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of mission objectives.
Requirements
  • Active Secret clearance (ability to obtain future TS/SCI).
  • Must be available for full-time, on-site support at the Pentagon, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • 2–3 years of experience supporting DoD governance, including meeting operations and stakeholder coordination.
  • Familiarity with DoD and OSD policies, priorities, and structure.
  • Previous experience supporting senior DoD officials at the OSD, Joint Staff, or Military Service level is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to evolving requirements.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience in project management, performance metric tracking, and the use of data to inform decision-making.
  • Background in operational improvement or project performance, including the use of tools that enable more efficient governance.
