Description
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee facility operations across our banking locations located in Rhode Island and eastern Connecticut. This role will supervise a team of technicians, manage work orders, coordinate vendor services, and ensure our facilities are safe, secure, well-maintained, and aligned with the bank's professional standards.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of leadership, technical knowledge, and customer service, with experience in facilities oversight. This position is critical in supporting the day-to-day operations of our branches and maintaining excellent experience for our customers and employees.
- Supervise, train, and support facilities technicians and custodial staff across multiple locations.
- Manage a centralized work order system, prioritizing and delegating maintenance tasks effectively.
- Coordinate routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Partner with branch managers and department leaders to identify and resolve facility-related needs promptly.
- Oversee external vendors and contractors for services such as janitorial, landscaping, HVAC, etc.
- Support the maintenance and monitoring of security systems, alarms, access control, and other physical security infrastructure in coordination with the bank’s security team.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, ADA, OSHA, and bank-specific policies.
- Assist in the planning and execution of facility upgrades, renovations, and capital projects.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies and serve as the point of contact for facility-related incidents.
- Support budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting on facilities-related expenses and capital projects.
- Identify process improvements and opportunities for energy efficiency and operational cost savings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or certification in Facilities Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facilities management, operations, or related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
- Familiarity with automated work order ticketing systems, Microsoft Office, and basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- OSHA 10/30 or other facilities related certifications a plus.
- Valid driver’s license required; ability to travel between locations as needed.
- Must be able to lift fifty pounds; ability to climb ladders, work overhead, access mechanical or rooftop areas as needed.
- Availability for emergency response, including evenings or weekends when necessary.
