Job Overview:

As the Director of eCommerce at Ledge, you’ll lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our D2C eCommerce business. You will be responsible for driving growth, optimizing the digital customer experience, and owning the performance of our online sales channel. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and hands-on management of people, platforms, and processes. You’ll oversee the full digital sales funnel—from product setup to customer conversion—and work cross-functionally to ensure we meet revenue goals and deliver a premium brand experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • eCommerce Strategy & Growth
    • Own and drive the eCommerce roadmap to support revenue and conversion goals
    • Analyze website traffic, funnel performance, and conversion data to inform digital strategy
    • Collaborate with the Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to align promotions, campaigns, and merchandising strategies
  • Digital Experience Management
    • Lead ongoing improvements to UX/UI across Shopify Plus
    • Ensure consistent product storytelling, brand standards, and visual presentation across all digital touchpoints
    • Oversee website content, merchandising, navigation, SEO, and on-site search performance
  • Operational Excellence
    • Manage product lifecycle setup online (SKUs, pricing, product options, images, and shipping settings)
    • Ensure product availability, pricing accuracy, and inventory alignment across systems
    • Work closely with the Web Developer, IT, and CX teams to ensure site functionality, security, and speed
  • Team Leadership
    • Manage and mentor the eCommerce team, currently including 2 direct reports
    • Develop team structure, roles, and responsibilities as the channel scales
    • Collaborate with our private equity partners and internal leadership on growth initiatives
  • Technology & Tools
    • Champion the integration and optimization of key eCommerce tools and platforms (BigCommerce, WordPress, analytics tools, etc.)
    • Ensure smooth digital operations in collaboration with IT and backend teams (including Celigo, ERP integrations)
Requirements
  •  7+ years of experience in eCommerce, with 3+ years in a leadership or strategic role
  • Proven success in driving online revenue and conversion in a D2C business
  • Strong technical understanding of eCommerce platforms, ideally Shopify plus
  • Experience managing digital merchandising, A/B testing, and performance analytics
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset
  • Passion for delivering best-in-class digital customer experiences
  • Experience in premium or luxury consumer goods
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Celigo, and digital automation tools
  • Previous leadership experience in a high-growth or private-equity-backed business
