Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in SolidWorks, expertise in data management systems such  as  PDM/3DEXPERIENCE, and  a solid  understanding of various manufacturing processes, including  sheet metal, plastic injection molding, extrusion, and 3D printing. This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to lead  hands-on prototype builds,  manage multiple projects, and  collaborate with both internal teams and external vendors. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design and production of both new and existing products.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

· Utilize SolidWorks  to design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.

· Produce detailed assembly drawings, formal  drawing documentation, and  bills  of materials (BOMs).

· Manage and maintain design data using PDM/3DEXPERIENCE platforms.

· Apply knowledge of sheet metal, plastic injection, extrusion, and 3D printing design guidelines to ensure manufacturability.

· Lead hands-on prototyping efforts, working closely with internal teams to build and test designs.

· Coordinate and  interface with internal teams and  external vendors to ensure the successful delivery of project milestones.

· Handle multiple design projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and adherence to timelines.

· Support production activities for both new and existing products, troubleshooting and providing technical input as needed.

· Serve as a subject matter expert, available for consultation and guidance for internal personnel.


Requirements

 

Experience and Education

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

· 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on SolidWorks. Proficient in PDM/3DEXPERIENCE data management systems.

· Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal fabrication, plastic injection molding, extrusion, and 3D printing.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to produce formal documentation and technical drawings.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience in prototyping, product testing, and production support.

· Experience working with cross-functional teams.

· Experience with project management tools and methodologies.

· Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
