Overview
The Manager of Global IT Infrastructure is responsible for the daily performance and availability of the organization's infrastructure for both cloud-based and on-premises solutions. This global leader’s team spans across multiple countries & time zones (onshore, near-shore, and offshore locations). They provide oversight to their team in analyzing the platforms, recommend upgrades and modifications as needed, and assess the organization's current and future needs. Must be able to work normal business hours, with availability outside of those hours to accommodate the needs of their global team members & infrastructure. Some travel with site visits to vendors, clients or datacenter and infrastructure may be required.

Primary Responsibilities
- The Manager, Global IT Infrastructure continuously monitors the technology markets for current/emerging technologies, keeps the VP of IT Operations up-to-date, and makes recommendations concerning hardware software and/or cloud-based acquisition which will have a positive impact to Vervent’s technology footprint, specifically network, server and security infrastructure for both on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
- Provides oversight of Information Technology Lifecycle Management capabilities being implemented across technology, ensuring inherent risk is adequately assessed, appropriate control decisions are made, and remediation governance are aligned to the company’s strategic objectives.
- Oversee the server and infrastructure staff on a global scale, records incidents, approves adds, moves and changes to the systems network for both on premises and cloud-based solutions. Ensure corporate policy, compliance, and key control adherence through collaboration of key stakeholders.
- Oversee and assist the infrastructure team in building, installing, maintaining, supporting, and troubleshooting the enterprise server and infrastructure environment. Provide leadership by proposing and implementing new services and competencies.
- Ensure operational service levels are met with high systems availability and maximum performance for both voice and data networks.
- Assist the Information Security team with systems testing and documentation in support of Vervent’s SOC/PCI audit, disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
- Work with business line managers and corporate leaders throughout all Vervent global locations to establish a quality culture and operating capability to meet or exceed Information Technology Lifecycle expectations.
- Support periodic reviews by Internal Audit, Corporate Compliance, SOC, PCI and other IT audits. Respond to any audit findings with comprehensive remediation plans and execute those plans within the agreed upon timelines.
- Work with Application Stakeholders, continuously evolve program requirements to proactively respond to changing hardware and software standards.
- Ensures that server systems and infrastructure maintain required availability, performance, and capacity for growth. Oversees and assists server and infrastructure staff in installs of systems products (bios and firmware updates, OS updates, application, and security patches, etc.) and hardware upgrades.
- Oversees DR testing of Data Center servers and services.
- Manages operational service levels, including any required internal or client-demanded Service Level Agreements (SLAs), documentation, tracking, and reporting.

- Ten years progressive experience in information technology system engineering, system management, and system operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, business, or a related discipline preferred
- High degree of research from sources like CISA, NIST, case studies, site visits, vendors, solutions providers, and documentation.
- Ability to drive multiple projects/workstreams simultaneously across multiple global locations and teams
- Ability to quickly analyze and solve complex problems and understand business functions and client needs.
- Ability to provide leadership in Information Technology Lifecycle Management and maintain evolving expertise and control best practices
- Strong understanding of enterprise technology management concepts, principles, and practices
- Strong negotiation and consensus building skills are required
- Ability to perform all systems engineering functions in currently supported versions of Windows Server, Linux/RHEL/Ubuntu (including Apache Web Server), VMware server (including ESXi, vCenter/vSphere) and desktop virtualization
- Ability to quickly and accurately diagnose and resolve server and infrastructure problems.
- Ability to perform office 365 and Azure administration.
- Ability to work effectively with vendors, internal staff, and other company/client staff.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Time management skills (including task prioritization).

Physical Requirements
The work is of an intellectual nature. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is required to stand and sit for prolonged periods. Specific vision abilities required include close and medium distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
