WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Role Player Operations Manager is responsible for the full oversight of Summit Point’s role player program. This includes managing daily operations, overseeing contract performance, driving business development, and leading strategic growth initiatives for both government and commercial training efforts. The position is based at our facility in Summit Point, WV and plays a key role in maintaining and expanding the realism and effectiveness of our training environments.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Oversee all operational aspects of the role player program across multiple contracts and events.
- Identify and pursue new role player support opportunities to expand capabilities and client base.
- Manage the recruitment, onboarding, training, and scheduling of qualified role players.
- Ensure all role player activities meet safety standards, client requirements, and operational protocols.
- Coordinate logistics including uniforms, props, travel, identification, and on-site support needs.
- Brief role players before each event on scripts, expectations, safety, and conduct.
- Act as primary point of contact between role players, training staff, and exercise planners.
- Track role player performance, maintain training records, and implement quality control measures.
- Supervise timekeeping, budgeting, and reporting for role player activities.
- Lead after-action reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This will be a full-time, exempt position.
- Travel will be required for this position.
- Fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
- Potential for weekend or night work based on training schedules.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 3–5 years of experience in operations, coordination, or program management.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Background in military, law enforcement, emergency services, or government contracting.
- Experience in training, acting, or simulation environments.
- Familiarity with military/law enforcement operations and terminology.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Must be physically able to work in outdoor environments and variable conditions.
- Ability to walk, stand, kneel, or sprint for extended periods during training exercises.
