In addition, Partner Veterinary has a dedicated Learning and Development Department, to help credentialed technicians achieve your goals, supported by two veterinary technician specialists (VTS) Heather Carter and Christine Weaver . Our Training Department has an impressive track record of helping Technicians achieve advanced certifications such as a VTS, CVPP, and/or CVRP.
To set you up for success from day 1,
- We gift you a *wellness week of PTO after 90 days in your position. This includes 30-40 hours of extra time off dependent upon your weekly schedule. Partner Veterinary recognizes the demand that is on RVTs, and this wellness week allows you to rest and relax with a week off after your initial 90 days.
What does your day look like at Partner?
The Diagnostic Imaging Licensed Veterinary Technician plans and performs CTs and MRIs that are requested by doctors within PVESC, or from the referring community. The Diagnostic Imaging team collaborates with PVESC departments to produce images that enable doctors to diagnose and treat a variety of diseases and disorders. You will work with unique and varied cases, and you have the resources to enable optimal patient outcomes.

Licensed Technician Requirements:
- Minimum 1-year MRI and CT experience
- Graduate of accredited veterinary technology program; veterinary technician “in good standing” so applicant is or eligible to transfer registration to Virginia
- Knowledge and dedication to high standard anesthesia and patient care practices
- A curious and motivated energy
- Interest in collaborating with the teams across the Partner network
Physical Requirements (ability to):
- Quickly process, analyze, and react to unplanned and emergent medical situations without delay, so as to ensure the safety of team members and patients
- Stand for up to 12 hours with limited breaks
- Lift up to 40 lbs without assistance
