SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Manager of Vendor Oversight supports sourcing, contract execution, and performance management for key vendor partners Zing has decided to work with, including but not limited to the Medicare Advantage Supplemental vendor network. The Manager of Vendor Oversight is responsible for relationship management with assigned ancillary providers/vendors, as well as the contractual performance and maintenance of the vendor. Manager will provide strategic support in supplemental benefits strategy and development of plan design in partnership with key Product and Growth leaders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Strategy & Product Development
- Proactively monitor performance data, service levels, and member feedback across all supplemental benefit vendors to identify patterns, discrepancies, and risks.
- Analyze industry trends, CMS guidance, and internal data to inform forward-thinking benefit strategies and vendor readiness.
- Anticipate changes in member needs or regulatory standards and ensure vendor roadmaps are aligned accordingly.
- Manage vendor relationships through regular performance reviews and collaboration to drive service excellence, member engagement, and continuous improvement
Product Development & Annual Planning
- Work closely with the Product team to support the development of plans and operational solutions that address annual changes to supplemental benefits.
- Provide vendor insights, performance trends, and operational feedback, as well as impact to member experience to inform product design and benefit configuration.
- Ensure new or modified benefits are supported by appropriate vendor capabilities, contract updates, and member communication strategies
Vendor Contracting & Implementation
- Oversee new vendor onboarding and benefit rollouts, ensuring all timelines, deliverables, and dependencies are met with operational readiness.
- Support end-to-end vendor contracting by partnering with internal teams to draft, review, negotiate, and implement agreements, ensuring alignment on contract terms, KPIs, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure seamless implementation or transition of services for members during vendor changes or annual benefit updates.
- Manage vendor relationships through regular performance reviews and collaboration to drive service excellence, member engagement, and continuous improvement
Performance Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Leverage performance data, trend analysis, and root cause investigations to identify emerging vendor issues and drive systemic remediation and process improvements.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to provide leadership with clear insights into vendor performance, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Product, Compliance, Member Experience, Sales, Quality, Provider Network, Legal, and IT—to align vendor activities with corporate objectives and ensure seamless benefit delivery.
- Facilitate working sessions and integrated communication channels to enhance operational visibility, support timely decision-making, and elevate both the member and vendor experience.
- Conduct ongoing check-ins with internal teams to review escalations, member feedback, and campaign performance, enabling proactive outreach and vendor alerts based on trends and anticipated volume shifts.

Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in an applicable field / study or 3–5 years of experience in Medicare Managed Care within health plan operations, regulatory, legal, network, product, or project management roles
- Vendor Management: 2+ years managing supplemental benefit vendor relationships, with a proven ability to oversee work plans, manage deliverables, and ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Product Implementation Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience collaborating with or serving on product teams to design, implement, and operationalize supplemental benefit programs, including, but not limited to, debit card with spending allowance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working across departments to drive projects forward, holding stakeholders accountable, and adapting to evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to analyze complex datasets, generate insights, and present findings in clear, actionable formats.
- Communication & Tools Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Process Improvement: Familiarity with customer journey mapping and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize member experience and operational outcomes.
